Main Purpose of Job
We need someone with excellent front end web skills to join our team. You'll be working as part of a small team. Your primary roles will be a managing a portfolio of our own and client websites, and developing new websites.
Detailed Duties
- Creating websites that look good, and convert well.
- Update existing websites.
- Communicating via email with clients, and telephone when required.
- Communicating regularly with other team members.
- Creating email campaigns.
- Providing basic support to a wide range of clients with the day to day running of their websites and emails.
- Managing projects from beginning to end. Including; initial contact, quotations, closing sales, development, amendments, signing off, marketing campaigns, updates and reviews.
- Managing outsourced developers, designers, illustrators, programmers, researchers, marketers (training will be given).
- Setting up Adwords / SEO campaigns (training will be given).
- Meeting agreed deadlines.
Person Requirements
We are looking for someone with excellent standards in HTML and CSS. We are looking for someone that is capable of coding a website in notepad. We need someone who is highly organised and self-disciplined, making sure work is thoroughly checked before it goes live. We want someone who is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure all deadlines are met.
Essential Skills / Experience / Qualities:
- A minimum of three years' experience of designing and developing websites.
- Experience working with clients, designers and developers.
- Experience managing websites.
- Experience bringing ideas to life.
- Fluent in HTML & CSS (must be able to code websites in notepad). Must be experienced with both tables and divs.
- Proficient in Outlook / Word / Excel.
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop or similar ' be able to create simple logos / gradients.
- Good understanding of domains and hosting.
- Basic knowledge of SEO / Adwords.
- Ability to support simple technical queries.
- Be able to fix cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Be able to create usable and accessible websites that look good and convert well.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, writing skills and people skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Have an outstanding attention to detail.
- Take pride in your work.
- Can manage projects from beginning to end.
- Willing to travel occasionally.
- Be able to produce a portfolio of websites you have solely designed and developed.
- Must be keen to progress, learn and adapt to new environments and challenging situations.
- Not afraid to get involved in a project outside of a traditional skill set.
Beneficial Skills / Experience / Qualities:
- Experience managing outsourced teams.
- Experience of developing own ideas into successful end product / service.
- Experience creating email newsletters (html tables).
- General admin experience; phone, emails, sales, invoices, receipts, etc
- Experienced user of Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experienced in Adsense / Affiliate programmes.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics
- Experienced designing / developing Wordpress or similar.
- Experience with E-commerce.
- Experience of other programming language eg; PHP, JavaScript, jquery.
- Experience of databases.
- Display leadership qualities.
- Sales experience.
- Excellent SEO knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to learn new skills and rise to new challenges.
- The persistence to work hard to achieve the best possible outcome.
- Hold a full driver's licence. Car owner.
